Intro To Michael Zomber
Mike Zomber is a historian who has published several historical fiction novels in addition to one work of historical nonfiction. He studied English literature and psychology at the University of California at Los Angeles. Mr. Zomber completed both his undergraduate and graduate studies at UCLA. His graduate studies was also in English literature. It is also important to point out that Mike Zomber graduated with honors from UCLA when he completed his bachelors degree there.
Mr. Zomber is a native of Washington D.C. He and his wife now reside in the Philadelphia metro area. Mike Zomber is active in and a supporter of several charities. They include Doctors Without Borders, UNICEF, Amnesty International and Global Exchange. Most these charities support the mission of peace around the world and helping those in need. These are values that are very dear to Mike.

As a historian, Mr. Zomber’s area of specialty is the Civil War period in the United States. His other area of specialty deals with East Asian history. Specifically, his Easy Asian history concentration deals with feudal Japanese society and the study of the warrior class known as the samurai. The samurai can be thought of as the Japanese equivalent of the European knight during feudal times there.
Michael Zomber has written extensively about the Civil War period in the United States. He has recently even acquired a major artifact that was owned by a preeminent abolitionist who fought to abolish slavery in the country. One of his best selling books is titled Sweet Betsty That’s Me. It is considered to be a children’s book. Sweet Betsy That’s Me is set before, during and after the Civil War. It is told from the point of view of a little girl who sees her father sent off to the war, be absent from the home for an extended period of time and then come back home wounded and beaten down physically and psychologically. Another of his Civil War novels is called Son of Kentucky. It is about a farmer that refuses to purchase slaves to work his land.
